Dashwood House is a 26 bed Supported Housing project for vulnerable young homeless women with low to medium support needs. The project is staffed 24 hours a day with sleep in staff and is funded by our Local Authority, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, and the Supporting People Team.
The aim of the project is to provide life skills to Service Users to enable them to live full independent lives in the community. This is achieved through a continuous process of monitoring and assessment known as linkworking. All Service Users are allocated a Linkworker. Service users are encouraged to participate in the daily activities of the project.
Service Users have their own bedsit but share communal facilities such as kitchens, laundry and lounges. Visitors are allowed at the project as well as female overnight guests for a small charge. The maximum length of stay at Dashwood House before move on is 2 years.
