Warford Lodge is a purpose built 5-bed hostel providing rooms for young expectant mothers and mothers with babies (aged 0 – 2years) between the ages of 16 and 25, and 8 units of floating support in the Warwickshire area. The aim of the project is to provide a secure environment within which appropriate services can be provided, either by Christian Alliance Housing (CAH) or by other agencies.
Each resident has their own furnished room with cooking facilities under and shares the bathrooms, a large communal kitchen, lounge and gardens. Residents are responsible for their own catering.
There is a pool table, play room, lounge with a television and DVD. There are organised activities inside and outside the project which are held on a regular basis with input from the residents
The project is staffed between 9:00am and 5:00pm. This includes weekend cover and an on call number is available to residents if assistance is needed outside working hours.
Floating Support in Housing provides 8 units of support to families in the community who are experiencing difficulties maintaining their tenancies.
Working closely with agencies such as social services, housing and health, Warford FSIH aims to provide a service that supports and empowers families to develop and maintain the skills necessary to continue independent life in the community.
One part time Support Worker staffs the service with back-up support from the Senior Project Worker of Warford Lodge.
The Service covers the South Warwickshire area including Leamington Spa, Warwick Kenilworth and Stratford on Avon.
