Kathryn Betteridge

Kathy has been a trustee with Chapter 1 for four years and during this time she has enjoyed visiting the various projects and meeting with staff and residents. The stories of how individual’s lives have been changed, since they have been involved with Chapter 1, are not only inspiring and challenging but never cease to amaze how God is working within the projects.
Kathy is married with 3 children – Nathan is a doctor working at Oldham Royal Infirmary, Ruth is studying at the Royal Northern College of Music and Elizabeth is studying at Leeds University. Kathy, with her husband David, attend and are members of the Salvation Army church and are actively involved in the new opening Sanctuary21 – A House of Prayer for all Nations - in Durham where they both live.
Kathy works full-time but still finds time to run and keep fit. She has run in a number of half marathons and ran her first – but not her last, full marathon in 2010. She enjoys walking and mountain climbing with David in the Yorkshire Dales and other beautiful parts of Great Britain and Ireland.
