Property and Development Manager

I started with Chapter 1 in July 2011, I am a Chartered Builder by profession and became chartered approximately 10 years ago with the Chartered Institute of Building. I have an honours degree in design and construction management and have been working in the public sector for most of my working life. My role at Chapter 1 is to ensure that planned maintenance and reactive maintenance is delivered in an efficient and cost effective way and to provide support to projects staff whenever it is needed. I have overall responsibility for the maintenance budgets and frequently have to submit reports to board members on progress and any issues relating to property matters. The property department essentially consists of me and Cynthia Ndaru who is the property administrator, she is a valued staff member and a valuable source of knowledge to the department and as a team we run the maintenance division.
