The Willes Road Project comprises of four 2/3 bed furnished flats set within the community for homeless families aged 18 and over with children under the age of 11. There is also a furnished spacious bed sit called the ‘Training Flat’ for a young person to go in as a stepping stone before their own home in the community to support them with independent living. Support will be offered for a period of 3-6 months with the aim of then being referred on to Warwick District Council for Home Choice bidding.
The accommodation is a house which has been divided into 4 self contained flats for families and 1 bed sit for a single young person. Each flat has their own fully furnished flat under a licence agreement with shared access to the garden. Residents are responsible for paying their electricity, water and TV licence.
The Willes Road Project provides Monday- Friday cover through a floating support worker, led by a Project Manager. Outside of these hours residents can contact an on call number or the emergency services.
Project History
The Willes Road Project opened on the 1stJune 2010 and has been working well at establishing links within the community. Willes Road has a working partnership with Warwick District Council since the service opened to help meet the local social housing need.
